Betty Scarimbolo

Owner  /  A.C.E. Certified Personal Trainer

Betty has had a passion for fitness from a very young age.  She grew up playing all sports and excelled in swimming. She swam at the collegiate level for Illinois State University, where she earned her degree in Business Management. Betty knew the only way to stay at the top of her game was to stay in shape and keep conditioned even during the off season. This is where she fell in love with weight resistance training. She began competing in fitness and body building competitions and noticed that—almost on a daily basis—she was being approached by individuals asking her questions about fitness and diet. Betty always felt compelled to assist these individuals and found the perfect platform to bring this passion to fruition—A Little Muscle—one on one personal training. Betty’s philosophy on health and fitness is simple

“There is no finish line to fitness.”

As the owner of A Little Muscle Betty is able to work one-on-one with clients, giving them the proper attention and monitoring their diets as well.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to commit to a locked in day/time?

We understand everyone’s life is hectic and many have children, jobs and other activities that don’t allow you to have a consistent schedule. We are very flexible and will work with you to make sure we are able to  schedule you on a regular basis (consistency is key to exercise) whether that means a different time and day each week!

How will I know if I am making progress?

An assessment will be completed within the first few session to set a bench mark. A retest will be completed after a certain time has passed to measure your progress. We will continue to monitor your progress through out your time with us but ask you to remember that better eating as well as the additional homework outside of our sessions will help you achieve your fitness goals sooner. All three components are necessary if you want to live a healthy lifestyle.

How much does it cost?

The cost per session varies based on the number of sessions you purchase. There are different packages to meet the needs of what your fitness goals are. The session price ranges from $55 to $70. There is no contract to sign nor is there a monthly fee. There are also several ways to pay, whether you want a monthly deduction or one time payment. There is a cancellation policy that we ask everyone to respect and give us notice if you will not be able to attend your session, otherwise you will be charged.

How many times a week will I need to work out?

It is recommended in by the American Council of Exercise that everyone should exercise 30 minutes a day! Unfortunately that is not the norm. We recommend 2 to 3 times a week with a trainer as well as doing your homework (additional activities) outside of our sessions such as biking, hiking, walking, swimming, yoga or anything else that gets your heart pumping.

What is the advantage of having one on one sessions versus going to a health club?

Working with a trainer in a one on one environment ensures that proper form on all exercises is being executed and therefore reducing the risk of injury. Secondly, your time spent exercising is maximized (and let’s face it, most of you don’t want to spend any additional time exercising!) and not wasting time figuring out what to do next or waiting in crowded health clubs to use the next piece of equipment.

Mike Tomaselli

Trainer, NSCA

We would like to welcome aboard Mike Tomaselli to our team at A Little Muscle. Mike is a certified trainer and previously worked at the Fitness Together in Bartlett Illinois. Mike has been involved with fitness his whole life. He worked out for years on his own and then as with most of us, life gets busy and it catches up with us. Mike found himself gaining weight steadily and knew he needed to get back to a healthy lifestyle. His wife had joined the Fitness Together in Bartlett and loved the workouts.  Mike decided to try it out and not only did he see results but he also found a new passion personal training. He soon began to hang around the studio and shadow trainers while getting his personal training certification. Mike asked to lead some small group sessions at the studio and that is how it all began.

“Focus on health not on weight.”

Mike has many interested, besides being in the printing industry for over 30 years, he also does interior painting (so if you need job done, he is the man to see!). Mike has also been part of a very popular musical group called Hip Pockit. He plays trumpet. They are very well known in the area and play at many local venues. Please welcome Mike as we are excited to have him on our team

A Little Muscle makes a BIG difference.

Tyler Woods

A.C.E. Certified Personal Trainer

We would like to welcome aboard Tyler Woods to our team at A Little Muscle. Tyler is a certified trainer and currently works at X-Sport Fitness in Naperville as well as the Illinois Basketball Academy in Naperville as a strength and conditioning coach for youths. Tyler grew up in Mendota, Illinois and went to Mendota High School.  He participated in Track and Field and was a state Hurdler in both indoor and outdoor track. He was recruited to run track and hurdles in college but decided to focus on his education.

“The best project you’ll ever work on is YOU!”

Although he tinkered around with weights and training while in high school he did not get bitten by the fitness “bug” until college.  There he became interested in the science of it all and started to train friends. From there he decided to pursue personal training full time and landed a job in Naperville so he packed up and moved. Growing up in a small town of only 500 people, Tyler loves to 4-wheel, and do anything outdoors. He also participated in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).  We are happy to add Tyler to our staff at A Little Muscle.
